Engine

Image
Engine: An Engine is a device which transform one form of energy into another form, the efficiency of conversion plays an important role. Normally, most of the engine convert thermal energy into mechanical work and therefore they called Heat Engine . Heat Engine: Heat Engine is a device which transform the chemical energy of a fuel into thermal Energy and utilizes this thermal energy to perform useful work. Thus, thermal energy is converted to mechanical energy in a heat engine. Heat Engine can be broadly classified into two categories: Internal Combustion Engines (IC Engine) External Combustion Engines (EC Engines) Again Internal and External Engines are divided into two parts Reciprocating Engines Rotary Engines External Combustion Engines: External Combustion engine are those in which combustion takes place outside the engines. Internal Combustion Engines: Internal Combustion Engines are those in which Combustion takes place within Engines. Fou...

Types of Governors

1. centrifugal governor Its action depends on the change of speed and centrifugal effect produced by the mass, known as governor balls or fly balls, which rotate at a distance from the axis of rotation. The action of governor depends on the centrifugal effect produced by the masses of the two balls. With the increase in speed the balls tend to rotate at a greater radius from the axis. This causes the sleeve to slide up on the spindle and this movement of the sleeve in communicated to the throttle through a bell crank Lever this closes the throttle valve to the required extent. When the speed decreases, the ball rotate at a smaller radius and the valveis open according to the requirement. 2. Inertia governor The positions of the balls are affected by the forces is set up by an angular acceleration or the deceleration of the given a spindle in addition to centrifugal force is on the balls. The balls are operated by the rate of change of speed in case of inertia Governors. Hence the...

TYPES OF CENTRIFUGAL GOVERNOR

There are two types of centrifugal governor 1.Pendulum type- (e.g.watt governor) 2. Loaded type Further loaded type Governor classified in two types 1.Dead weight loaded( e.g.PORTER GOVERNOR, PROELL GOVRENOR) 2. spring loaded(e.g.PICKERING GOVERNOR,  HARTNELL GOVERNOR, HARTUNG GOVERNOR, WILSON HARTNELL GOVERNOR

SPECIAL MATTER

THE MATTER IS BASICALLY OF 3 TYPES-SOLID, LIQUID AND GAS . BUT THE MATTER OF SUN IS KNOWN AS PLASMA .

Transmission shaft

It is rotating machine element generally circular in cross section which supports transmission element gear pulleys sprockets and transmit power.

What is CAD, CAM & CAE softwares

Nowadays everything is going to be computerized. In this case how can we stay back. We are also implement this digitalization in our field. So we are uses different kind of software to make our work easier, faster and efficient, and these software is known as CAD, CAM, CAE softwares. Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) : Cad softwares are used for 2D Drafting and Creating 3D models. In this software we can generate 2D view of 3D model, Dimensioning of Drawing and also provide Geometrical Dimensions and Tolerance. e.g. AutoCAD, CATIA, CREO, SolidWorks etc. Computer-Aided-Manufacturing (CAM) : The softwares which are used for generate CNC program for desired profile is called CAM software. e.g. MasterCAM, Delcam, Unigraphics etc. Computer-Aided-Engineering (CAE) : This softwares are used for analysis purpose such as vibration, stress, temperature, deformation etc. e.g. ANSYS, HYPERMESH etc. These Software can be classified into three parts: 1. High End Software :  When Above th...

About Mechanical

Mechanical Engineering:        Mechanical Engineering  is the discipline that applies enginee ring, physics and material science  principles to design, analyze, manufacture  and maintain mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production and operation of machinery. In this fields requires an understanding of core area including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, material science, structural analysis and electricity. In addition to these core principles, mechanical engineers use tools such as computer-aided-design (CAD), computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM), computer-aided-engineering (CAE) software and product life cycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, aircraft, transport systems, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons and others. Here we are only discuss about Mechanical Engineering. Thank You! Jai Hind...
